TGIF, everyone! It’s time for another episode of PRIDE’s ongoing Netflix and Chill series, where I watch and review some of the many LGBTQIA+ films the super popular streaming service has to offer. 
This time around, I reviewed Q. Allan Brocka’s gay-themed film Boy Culture. The movie is about a male escort named X who falls in love with one of his roommates, while also getting caught up with an older client.

As The Advocate points out, under a previous policy announced by Ash Carter (defense secretary under President Obama), trans people were able to serve openly and have access to insurance coverage for transition-related medical procedures since last year. But with Trump's new plans, that policy is now being completely reversed. And rightfully, people everywhere are upset about it.

As part of PRIDE's ongoing Netflix & Chill series, where I watch and review some of the popular movie streaming service's many LGBTQIA+ films, I reviewed the gay-themed, Brazilian, coming-of-age film The Way He Looks. 
The 2014 film, which won two awards at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival, is about a blind schoolboy named Leonardo who develops on a crush on his male classmate/friend named Gabriel.

This week, I reviewed the JC Calciano-directed, 2010 movie Is It Just Me?, a gay-themed rom-com about a Los Angeles-based writer looking for love online despite the antics of his hot, go-go dancer roommate.
