Rainbow Roots Project, “an online LGBT archive of love, life and diversity,” has produced a short film about Deb & Gail in honor of Pride month.

Deb and Gail have gone from hardcore leather women to supermoms, according to Rainbow Roots, which dubs them an “ordinary couple with an extraordinary story.

The couple has been together for 16 years since meeting outside the leather tent at the Michigan Women’s Festival in 1995. In 2004 they began to care for Gail’s six-month-old granddaughter, an event that would change their lives forever.

Since we love a story that begins at the leather tent at MichFest here is Rainbow Roots short film about Deb and Gail and their epic love.
