With her hilarious memes and iconic one-liners, Joanne the Scammer dominated meme-culture of the mid-2010s, so much so that even Rihanna enlisted her for a stunt.

But lately, it seems like the diva has all but disappeared from the public eye. When one Twitter casually pondered where she had gone, the Scammer gave a heartfelt response.
"Tbh my mom died and then my life went down hill from there," she tweeted. "Never wanted to say that because I don’t wanna be looked at like a victim or like I’m trying to gain sympathy from anyone. I’m doing much better now!! And just because i don’t post all the time doesn’t mean I’m dead!"

Well her hiatus is officially over with her big screen debut in Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral, the concluding film in the 20-year Madea franchise. The movie's Twitter account shared an image of Joanne from the upcoming film.

As the Scammer is only seen waving a fan at someone's funeral, we have no idea what to expect from Joanne's character. Funeral crasher? Mistress? No clue—but we can definitely assume we'll get a bit of her trademarked scamming.
Madea Family Funeral hits theaters on March 1, 2019. Catch the trailer below.
