At the TIME 100 Summit earlier this week, Empire creator Lee Daniels offered some new details about a badass gay superhero film he's working on.
After pink thigh-high booted Instagram star @hesosoutheast went viral earlier this year for his hilarious and jaw-dropping acrobatic stunts, the internet was immediately obsessed and calls for him to be the next Kim Possible quickly took over the internet.
Daniels answered that call, and now he's confirmed that the project is actually in the works. "It’s called Superbitch," said Daniels. "I found him on Instagram of all places. He does backflips and he has a cape and he does karate and, oh my God, he’s going to be a hero!"
It seems like Daniel's isn't investing that much into the film financially, "I’m not putting that much money behind it," he says, but "a couple million dollars for a gay superhero movie is pretty f–king exciting!"
If just 30-second clips of @hesosoutheast are this thrilling, we can't wait to see what a whole feature-length film looks like!
