When the news first broke in March that Zayn Malik was parting ways with One Direction, fans and admirers everywhere were all absolutely heartbroken and terrified by the possibility of never, ever hearing from him again. But all those fears were just quickly and fiercely laid to rest this morning with the news that Mr. Malik himself would be gracing the cover of the latest issue of indie music mag The Fader.
*screams internally*
It's a pretty big deal, for two reasons. 1.) This is his first major interview since he left the boy band that made him famous, and 2.) in the visuals teasing Zayn's cover shoot, you can hear music from his upcoming solo album playing in the background (in this case, the song "Befour").
*still screaming internally*
Although we have yet to see all the images from his upcoming feature, and although we have yet to hear what other kinds of R&B infused jams he has to offer to listeners, since it's Zayn, we already know it is going to absolutely slay.
Watch a snippet of Zayn Malik and his newest song in the video below, and let us know what you think of the return of the King Zayn in the comments and on Twitter.
