Pop diva Sia’s deeply haunting new single “The Greatest,” featuring her dance muse Maddie Ziegler and 48 other young dancers, pays tribute to the 49 people who lost their lives in the massacre at the LGBT Pulse nightclub in Orlando this June. After painting her face with slashes of rainbows, Maddie runs through a dilapidated warehouse freeing the other young people from the bonds of a caged enclosure as Sia breathtakingly sings, "I'm free to be the greatest, I'm alive / I'm free to be the greatest here tonight / The greatest, the greatest / The greatest alive, the greatest, the greatest alive.”

The effect of young people in peril coupled with Sia’s soaring vocals is chilling.

The video simply begins with the hashtag #WeAreYourChildren.
