According to a now deleted Facebook post, the president of infamous gay hookup app Grindr believes that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
"There are people who believe that marriage is a holy matrimony between a man and a woman. I agree but that’s none of our business," Grindr president and former chief technology officer Scott Chen wrote in a post on his public Facebook page, reports INTO (a gay culture website owned by Grindr).
Chen was posting in response to the news of tech giant HTC's chief executive officer Cher Wang and her non-profit company's contributions to anti-LGBT orgs.
He continued:
"There are also people who believe that the purpose of marriage is to create children that carry their DNA. That’s also none of our business. There are people that are simply different from you, who desperately want to get married. They have their own reasons."
According to INTO, Chen moved into his role at Grindr following the app's acquisition by Kunlun, a tech firm based in China.
