Five-Star Hotel Drops the Name 'HoMo' Following Backlash
Following controversy, a planned five-star hotel in Australia has decided to drop its orginally-planned name: "HoMo."
The $400 million luxury property planned for the city of Hobart, Tasmania will accompany the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). Boasting 176 rooms alongside a 1075-seat theater and a three-story library, the hotel is set to be completed in 2024 at the earliest.

"But it turned out that I didn’t really have the right to call something HoMo when I’m not gay," he continued. "It offended a few people. I guess I was being culturally insensitive."
The hotel has now officially changed its name to "Motown," which is arguably more appropriative of yet another culture...
