Conflicting Reports Say Critically Injured Natasha Richardson's Condition in the Balance

Tony Award winner for Cabaret, Natasha Richardson, was critically injured in a ski accident at the Mont Tremblant resort near Montreal. Part of the acting dynasty that includes her mother Vanessa Redgrave, her aunt Lynn Redgrave and her sister, Nip / Tuck start Joely Richardson. Natasha, 45, is married to actor Liam Neeson and has two adolescent sons with him.

Actress Natasha Richardson was critically injured in a ski accident at the Mont Tremblant resort. Conflicting reports are emerging about her condition. Time Out NY reported Tuesday morning that she will not survive the accident, while TMZ says she is sedated with brain swelling and being transported to a hospital in New York.

Part of the acting dynasty that includes her mother Vanessa Redgrave, her aunt Lynn Redgrave and her sister, Nip / Tuck start Joely Richardson, Natasha, 45, is married to actor Liam Neeson and has two adolescent sons with him.  Her father was director Tony Richardson and she is the granddaughter of Michael Redgrave.

Richardson starred in Nell with Neeson and Jodie Foster, The Handmaid's Tale, based on Margaret Atwood's classic feminist novel, The Comfort of Strangers with Rupert Everett and Fat Man Little Boy with Paul Newman, to name a few.

In 1997 Richardson won the Tony Award for playing Sally Bowles in the smash Broadway Revival of Cabaret, which also starred Alan Cumming.

Richardson is an ardent AIDS and gay rights advocate.
