Etheridge's Wife Tammy Lynn Michaels Claims Rick Warren 'Loves Gays'

Actress, mother, blogger and Melissa Etheridge's wife Tammy Lynn Michaels has changed her tune about Rick Warren, who 'loves gays," according to Michaels.

In her blog, Michaels blamed the media for the anti-Warren sentiment that has sprouted up since Barack Obama announced the pastor of the Saddleback Church would deliver the invocation at his inauguration Jan. 20.

Rocker and out lesbian Etheridge and Warren have extended an olive branch to one another, and Michaels took to her blog to write about her change of heart.

Michaels blames the media for the anti-Warren sentiment that has sprouted up since Obama announced the pastor of the Saddleback Church would deliver the invocation.

"Rick is not a televangelist. Rick is not Falwell. Rick spoke of some "stupid" things he's said (his word, not mine), some misquotes that were given, and lots of ammunition from the media," Michaels blogged.

Upon chatting with Etheridge, Warren told her he regretted a sermon he delivered to his congregation in which he mentioned the anti-gay marriage measure Prop. 8, incest and pedophiles in the same breath and admitted to being a huge fan of her music.

Michaels lambasted Obama and Warren on her blog earlier this month in response to the news that Obama picked him to deliver the invocation.

She referred to Warren as narrow-as-a-butt-crack Rick Warren and went on to call him "dick" Warren.

Now Warren, his wife, Etheridge and Michaels plan to spend some time together.

"Hath hell frozenth over? Rick Warren was humble and kind," Michaels wrote.  "Honey and I are to go to his church sometime soon. And honey invited him to our house for an afternoon, to be with our family."
