The National Museum in Poland is running a gay love exhibit through September aimed at arousing a deep discussion over the place of homosexuals in the country, AP is reporting.
The museum director, Piotr Piotrowski, says that the exhibition targeting gay and lesbian love will primarily feature male nudes, same sex couples in ancient sculpture and contemporary paintings and photography.
Poland’s Culture Minister, Bogdan Zdrojewski is defending the exhibition from opposition, primarily coming from lawmakers and various Catholic groups.
The exhibition will run from June 11 through Sept 5.
