Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky's assault charges from a family airport blow-out have been dropped like a hot hair straightening iron.
Blonsky, who played teen dance queen Tracy Turnblad in the big screen version of Hairspray, opposite John Travolta, and former America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden got into a full-on family throw-down at the Turks and Caicos airport this summer.
The brawl supposedly kicked off because Blonsky was holding seats for her family and refused to give up a spot to any of Golden's family.
Now, Turks and Caicos' Police Sgt. Calvin Chase told E! Newsthat the charges were dropped.
"The only case that is still proceeding is against Blonsky's father," according to E! News.
Carl Blonsky faces charges for assault and for inflicting grievous bodily harm for blows that landed Golden's mother Eleine Golden in the ICU.
Police did not comment on why the charges against the two young women were dropped.
Now, Blonsky is slated to appear in an episode of Ugly Betty on Jan. 8.
