Jodie Foster is Single Again! Hopeful Lesbians Rejoice!

We'll take this with a grain or a fistful of salt considering the original source, but long-rumored lesbian Jodie Foster is on the market again, according to Celebitchy, which got it from the Enquirer. Go ahead and hate on the tabloid but 3 out of 4 grandmas will insist they read everything first in the Enquirer. But the tab insists that Jodie's girlfriend Cynthia Mort, whom Jodie left her partner Cydney Bernard to date in 2008, has now dumped the two-time Academy Award winner for a younger woman.

A formerly very private Ms. Foster openly acknowledged her long-time partner Cydney Bernard while accepting the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at the 16^th Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast in December, 2007 by thanking "My beautiful Cydney, who sticks with me through the rotten and the bliss."

Buzz was still building about whether or not Jodie had actually come out of the closet when just a few months later The Enquirer broke the story that Jodie left Cydney for a younger woman, writer/producer Cynthia Mort.

Now the tab says "The two-time Oscar winner had met her new romantic interest, writer-producer Cindy Mort, while filming The Brave One in 2006."  But now in a classic case of what goes around comes around, Cindy has reignited a romance with a previous gal pal, Amanda Demme." Amanda is Ted Demme's widow, which also makes her niece through marriage to Jonathan Demme, the man who directed Foster to her second Oscar in The Silence of the Lambs.  A well-known Hollywood club promoter, Amanda has also been romantically linked to Lindsay Lohan. What a tangled lesbian web we weave.

Sources say that Foster is devastated by the breakup adding, "Jodie Foster's heart has been broken -- and her pals say she's got only herself to blame."

Well, there's likely an open invite to Jodie to hit up any of Hollywood's Girls' nights, where she can lick her wounds surrounded by adoring, rabid lady fans!
