Ramsay Sorry for Calling Grimshaw a Lesbian and Pig

Hell's Kitchen reality star Gordon Ramsay apologizes to Tracy Grimshaw for calling her a lesbian and comparing her to a pig at a food and wine show in Australia. Grimshaw accepts Ramsay's apology after a phone conversation between them that she felt was genuine.

Gordon Ramsay has apologized for his remarks referring to an Australian TV personality as gay and a pig.

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd called Ramsay, currently on tour in Australia, a "low life" for announcing to 3,000 people in attendance at a food and wine show that one of Australia's most well-known TV personalities was a lesbian, and then likened her to a pig.

On Australia's Nine Network News' Ramsay talked with the show's Tony Jones in order to apologize to TV interviewer Tracy Grimshaw.

"Tracy, where do I start? You've shown me great respect and amazing support over the last three to four years and I'd just like to take this opportunity to apologize for the stupid comments. [I'm] deeply mortified that the whole thing has gone this far. My apologies."

The Hell's Kitchen reality star admitted his actions were "inappropriate" and "not clever," but also swore Grimshaw being called a lesbian never happened. Ramsay said, "I am deeply, deeply sorry for the hurt that's been caused."

Ramsay went on his rant about Grimshaw following an appearance on her show, A Current Affair, last Friday night. Initially, Grimshaw gave her response on her show. She called Ramsay an "arrogant narcissist" and a "bully," also adding, "I can't imagine any circumstances where I would want to interview him again."

But Tuesday night, Grimshaw returned to her show and informed viewers of her acceptance of Ramsay's apology, also noting the conversation they had on the phone was polite and genuine.
