The Showtime dramedy United States of Tara created by author and Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody centers on the several personalities contained in the disturbed woman, Tara, portrayed deftly by Toni Collette. The first season introduced us to the high caliber characters, specifically the four personalities of the heroine: Tara the working mom, Alice the June Clever-esque Stepford wife, Buck the good ol’ motorcycle boy, and T a rebellious teen girl.

Next season, the hard drinking tough guy persona Buck will have a special lil' lady. Chasing Amy’s Joey Lauren Adams will once again explore gender bending relationships when she guest stars as Pammy, a bar waitress who falls for Buck. Adam’s character hasn’t had much luck meeting a good man but she falls head over heals for the masculine Buck.

Things might get complicated, as Tara’s main personality is married to a man.

Adams has signed for three episodes so far as Pammy. The new season of United States of Tara debuts early next year.
