Prosecutors in New York are preparing to counter a possible "lesbian defense" in regards to a prostitution case involving two strippers.
The prosecutor's secret weapon? A boyfriend.
Porn star Alexia Moore might offer a "lesbian defense" when confronted with evidence that she offered to have sex with a man for money, reports CBS News.
In 2008, Moore, whose real name is Cassandra Malandri, was dancing-aka stripping-at New York's "Big Daddy Lou's Hot Lap Dance Club" when she, along with fellow stripper buddy Falynn Rodriguez, allegedly offered an undercover NYPD officer a threesome in exchange for $5,000 cash. Instead, the dynamic duo were immediately handcuffed and put on trial. They face 90 days in jail.
Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Daryl Reed wanted to make sure that those in the courtroom realized that Malandri likes men, not women.
"There have been allusions that she only deals with women, sexually," Reed said.
"We should be allowed to call her so-called fiancé to rebut her," Reed said, referring to a man that Moore is said to be currently dating.
Defense lawyer Ikiesha Al-Shabazz says the prosecutor's scheme "doesn't even make sense," and the logic that lesbians don't have sex with men for money is just "faulty."
Yes. Faulty. Just the word we would have chosen.
