I'm into cats and dogs. Maybe it's my bisexuality that lends to so much fluidity. From being an animal lover, I also need to date animal lovers. Cats are low-maintenance but dogs can tell you more about their owners. As a dog owner, here are seven reasons you should date someone who's best friends with a pooch!
1. Cuddle skills on fleek
Dogs, regardless of size, are all about cuddles. They’ll try to be lap dogs even if they are much bigger than your lap. They'll curl up at your feet want to be next to you at all times. Folks with dogs are accustomed to this invasion of privacy, so if you want to snuggle up with them, you always can!
2. Family oriented
If someone loves their dog as much as I love mine, their four-legged friend has become apart of the family. This person is as committed and loyal as their canine counter part.
3. Organized and responsible
Dog owners need schedules. They need to stick to feeding times, walks, dog-park adventures and baths. If you date someone with a dog, they probably won't ditch you. They're responsible and in the habit of keeping dates. Dogs aren’t cheap either, so you know your potential date is working.
4. Self-importance takes the back seat
If only because nobody ever wants to come home to a house full of pee and ripped open garbage bags, the dog comes first. When a dog’s life relies on the owner, you can expect your dog lover to be less selfish than most.
5. Experienced with messes
Taking a walk toting a poop bag proves dog owners can deal with messy things. If they can handle that, your baggage probably isn’t too big of a deal.
6. Flaws are expected
Have you ever met a dog? They are far from perfect creatures. They can be clumsy, aggressive, smelly and destructive. Dog lovers prove love is unconditional.
7. Labor free pet
You get to have a dog without having to put any work into training.
