Lauren Jauregui is unafraid to speak her mind on controversial issues. Yesterday morning, the Fifth Harmony star and openly bisexual singer slammed the Catholic Church in a tweet to her almost 2.95 million followers.
"I'm gonna need Catholics to stop preaching anti-gay sentiment with the amount of rampant pedophilia going on behind the scenes for years," wrote Jauregui. The post currently has over 25,000 shares and 63,000 likes.
The tweet seems to be in response to the recent child sexual abuse charges against Cardinal George Pell. Jauregui's post has reignited arguments on how homosexuality and pedophilia are treated in the Catholic Church, the former which is widely condemned and the latter is often buried and ignored.
