Twice.
Brittney Griner, the WNBA's number one draft pick, and rookie player for the Phoenix Mercury made her professional debut Monday night, and really knew how to ring in the occasion. Griner dunked the ball twice in her first game, a major move for women's basketball; the first one was seriously epic, and the second was just classy.
According to ESPN, there have only been five dunks during the WNBA's all-time regular season history (two were Griner's, two were by Candace Parker, and one by Lisa Leslie).
The final score was Chicago Sky 102-Phoenix Mercury 80.
