This Dolce & Gabbana T-Shirt Reeks of Internalized Homophobia

Um...

In a move that’s really more on-brand for Urban Outfitters, Dolce & Gabbana's fashion designer Stefano Gabbana, posted a picture of a shirt to Instagram that honestly should be thrown away in the trash. Why? Because it reeks of internalized homophobia.

My question to Mr. Gabbana is...WTF?

In case he wasn’t aware, gay men are also men. You can express yourself as more masculine, feminine, or frankly, as anything you damn well please. But if you identify as a gay man, you’re a motherfuckin' gay man. It truly is as simple as that. Putting masculinity on a pedestal, as some form of aspiration for gay men, is ~so~ 2009. So can we knock this BS off?

The real question is who’s going to make a black shirt with the same font that reads, "I’m gay. I’m a man."

Now that's a shirt we'd buy!
