Pitch Perfect, about collegiate a cappella competition, is shaping up to be the comedy of the season. One of its break-out stars, Aussie Rebel Wilson, appeared on The Tonight Show to demonstrate to Jay Leno and Bryan Cranston just how she landed her plum role in the film.

Pitch Perfect’s breakout funny woman Rebel Wilson appeared on The Ellen Show and fulfilled a life-long dream she’s had – to rap with host Ellen DeGeneres.

Pitch Perfect, the upcoming comedy about the competitive world of college a capella groups starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, hits theaters on October 4, and we can’t wait! But for now, there’s a featurette featuring interviews with costars Elizabeth Banks, Kendrick and Wilson. The film also stars Anna Camp (The Good Wife, True Blood, House of Lies) and singer Ester Dean, who plays a lesbian character.

Happy Tuesday! Glee clubs are big business in Hollywood thanks to that little Ryan Murphy show. Pitch Perfect, which hits theaters Oct. 5, stars Anna Kendrick (Camp, Up in the Air), Anna Camp (The Good Wife, True Blood, House of Lies) , Rebel Wilson (Bachelorette) and Brittany Snow as college women engaged in a battle of the sexes with the rival guys’ show choir. If that’s not enough to watch – singer Ester Dean plays a lesbian character in the glee club.

But her newest project may be the first to let her really shine: Dean stars as Cynthia Rose, a lesbian college student in the soon-to-be-a-smash Pitch Perfect, a film by gay director Jason Moore centering on an all-girl a cappella group that also stars Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow. Dean, whose own self-titled album will be released this year on Interscope Records, talked to us about (lesbian) method acting, going back to school, and whether she's ready for fame.
