The Barden Bellas are filled with Pride!
Pitch Perfect is a cult classic that sent leading ladies Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and many more into superstardom.
Besides the global commercial success, the Bellas all became close friends in real life and continue to work together all these years later. In fact, Wilson and Camp are teaming up again on-screen in their hilarious new summer flick Bride Hard.
"If they're not going to put Pitch Perfect 4 on the table, I'm going to take Bride Hard with one of my besties Anna Camp! What I love about this movie is that it's comedy and it's action. This is just pure fun," Wilson tells PRIDE.
EXPAND
Not only do Wilson and Camp get to bring their chemistry back to the big screen, but the duo is proudly representing the LGBTQ+ community as Camp recently came out back in February.
"It's been really wonderful to be so welcomed and so supported, especially by my really beautiful [and] wonderful friend here. Life is an evolution and I'm very happy where I am today," Camp tells PRIDE.
Both ladies have certainly come a long way in their personal and professional lives since their iconic 'lesbi honest' scene in the very first Pitch Perfect movie.
"I made that joke secretly maybe thinking I was the gay one! Surprise! All the Bellas are gay now! Everyone's gay. I remember on Pitch Perfect 2, a lot of us girls were having a chat in between takes about sexuality. It was such a kind, honest, open chat. It really meant a lot to me that day on set," Wilson says.
After coming out back in 2022, Wilson has proudly lived her life out and proud and she even married her girlfriend Ramona Agruma last year in a gorgeous Italy wedding.
"The support I personally got really makes me emotional because people were so supportive when I came out with my relationship with my now wife Ramona. I don't think I could have had a better experience. [I'm] just sending love out there to everybody at this important time in history," Wilson concludes.
Bride Hard comes out Friday, June 20, only in theaters. To see the full interview with Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp, check out the video at the top of the page.
