Team Shakira’s out country singer Kristen Merlin crushed “Two Black Cadillacs” Monday on The Voice “Playoff” round, landing her securely in Shakira’s top three who’ll move on to the live shows next week.

Coach Shakira and Adam Levine gave Kristen a standing ovation following her breakout performance, while all four coaches soundly praised her.

During the rehearsal session leading up to the performance Shakira told the Massachusetts native that she enjoyed meeting her girlfriend, and Kristen replied that she was lucky to have her partner's support.

Shakira is clearly thrilled with Kristen as a team member, and as well she should be.

Watch her in action below.
