Here Media’s first original comedy series, From Here On Out, is fast-approaching its series finale. The show, a fictionalized version of the television network owned by the same parent company as SheWired, features some beautiful men. But the actresses in the series are stars in their own right: Juliet Mills (Dottie), Julie Brown (Gina), and Suzanne Whang (Divina). In celebration of From Here On Out’s first season, check out some exclusive highlights from these leading ladies as they lampoon the daily dramas of putting together a show for Here TV.
In this first clip, Juliet Mills, a veteran of the stage and screen who has appeared on hit television shows throughout the years such as The Love Boat, Passions, and Hot in Cleveland, portrays Here TV's receptionist, Dottie. She serves as gatekeeper to its 18-year-old CEO, a role she takes very seriously… with a carton of apple juice. (Also be sure to check out Mills's interview with Outabout her role in the series.)
In this second video, actress, stand-up comedian, and former House Hunters host Suzanne Whang plays Divina, a sassy maid. She auditions for a role in "Guy Dubai International Gay Spy" and manages to overcome the fact that the show's writer Jimmy, portrayed by actor Terry Ray, is looking to cast a man.
Last, but certainly not least, is a clip of actress Julie Brown, who rose to fame in popular comedic films like Earth Girls Are Easy and Clueless. Watch as Brown tickles the viewers’ funny bones as Nina, a character with an accessory not unheard of in Hollywood: a gay ex-husband.
To see more of the talents of Mills, Whang, and Brown, tune in to Here TV’s From Here on Out, available to watch on its premium YouTube channel as well as subscription cable channel. Check out the trailer.
