Rosie O’Donnell will make her debut on Empire November 25, as a baker who seems likely to whip up some trouble, Access Hollywood reports on its website.
O’Donnell, one of several famous guest stars slated to appear on the series this season, will play Pepper O’Leary, a former cellmate of Empire Records matriarch Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson).
Pepper is the owner of a bakery and an entrepreneur “beyond what meets the eye,” notes a description obtained by Access, the first information released about the character. She’s also “the kind of person who isn’t afraid to use force to help a friend out,” the site reports.
The hit series about a family in the hip-hop music industry airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m./8 p.m. Central on Fox.
