During a recent visit on the popular, drag-themed web show Hey Qween!, trans icons and activists Candis Cayne and Lina Bradford talked to host Jonny McGovern about trans women being able to compete on the popular reality competition RuPaul's Drag Race.

"If she's an amazing performer, don't label her and don't hinder her," Bradford said when talking about not excluding anyone from drag.

"The show should be about performance and talent and ability," Cayne added.

The conversation comes on the heels of recent controversial comments drag legend RuPaul made in an interview with The Guardian earlier this week about how he would "probably not" allow transitioning trans queens to compete on his long-running VH1 reality show.
