After his unconventional exit from the Love Island villa earlier this week, Noah Purvis has broken his silence.
The 24-year-old made his entrance on the messy reality dating show earlier this but was promptly yanked from the house by CBS producers after his alleged porn star past surfaced on Twitter.
According to the tweets, Purvis went by an alter-ego named Ethan and is credited with appearances in gay porn videos from studios like Corbin Fisher. Purvis was removed from the villa with no explanation and quietly edited out of the show's footage.
Five days later, he's shared his first post on social media, sort of addressing the situation.
"OHANA means family...FAMILY means no one gets left behind or forgotten," he wrote, seemingly quoting Disney's animated film Lilo & Stich. "All of you out here have made me feel this and I can’t express how loved I feel for the first time in my life."
The location is tagged as St. Louis, Missouri and he concluded the post with a string of hashtags: "#love #together #family #one #united #sad #sadness #feelings #people #news #cometogether #greatfull #emotion #story #storytime #share #voice #itstime #change #inspiration #motivation #changeiscoming #leader #strong #speakup #voice #corruption #used #forgotten #bullied #equality"
In CBS' only statement on the matter, the network said, "It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement, He has been removed from the show."
It's unclear how Purvis identifies or what false information he supposedly gave to CBS but as commenters point out, some straight men do gay porn because it pays better. He could also be bisexual. Regardless, Purvis has received a healthy amount of sex-shaming and homophobic comments on his Instagram, though many others were supportive and offered sympathies.
"Keep doing you! You seemed like such a great guy on love island and especially when you told Cely the truth. You should not have been judged for your past, everyone is special in their own way don’t let anyone tell you otherwise," wrote one.
"#noshame #nostigma," wrote another.
