Nostalgia reigns!

iCarly fans rejoice! The beloved and queer-inclusive reboot series has officially been renewed for a third season!

Viewers have been eagerly awaiting word of the series’ status following the cliffhanger at the end of season two. But while some may have been worried that we would never find out more about Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and Freddie’s (Nathan Kress) feelings for one another, this renewal will give the show a whole additional season to see if the two can finally come clean — while the whole gang is collectively getting up to all sorts of other antics, of course.

So far, it sounds like all the main characters will be returning for the third year, with Paramount+ chief programming officer of streaming Tanya Giles having the following to say:

“iCARLY’s loyal fan base grew up with Carly, Spencer and Freddie, and have now fallen in love with Harper and Millicent, too. We’re thrilled to have Miranda, Jerry, Nathan, Laci and Jaidyn return for a third season and we know Paramount+’s growing YA audience is as well. And I, for one, must find out what happens with #Creddie!”

Season two also saw both the start and end of a relationship for Harper (Laci Mosley) after the pansexual addition to the cast developed feelings for and kissed singer Dutch at the end of the first season.

We don’t have a premiere date just yet, but production on iCarly is expected to take place later this year, with the next season dropping on Paramount+ sometime during 2023.

In the meantime, if you need to catch up on (or rewatch) the reboot so far, you can do so through Paramount+ — and then watch a little teaser trailer to get hyped up for everything that is to come!
