As if there were any other real option – Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are confirmed to host the Golden Globes again in January following their hilarious star turn, essentially stealing the show, at last year’s ceremony! But wait, there's more -- they've signed on for a two-year commitment!
Amy and Tina have “a truly unique chemistry making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all time,” said Allen Shapiro, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, which produces the Globes, according to CBS.com.
Long-time colleagues and pals Amy and Tina kicked off with an opening monologue that was just the right amount of mocking the entertainment business and the people in it, earning big laughs for jokes aimed at James Franco and James Cameron. Later they skewered Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham, while Amy vowed to spend some time with newly out lifetime achievement winner Jodie Foster.
With Amy and Tina at the helm ratings for the Globes broadcast were up 17 percent from the previous year, which acerbic funny man Ricky Gervais hosted, according to CBS.com.
With this announcement coming in October we have just about three months to practice Amy and Tina’s Golden Globes drinking game before the Jan. 12, broadcast.
