Ruby Rose is totally taking over. After a beautiful stint on Orange is the New Black, it's been announced that she'll be guest starring next on Syfy's Dark Matter as Wendy, "a hauntingly beautiful entertainment android who dazzles the crew with her sexual prowess and knack for entertaining…until things take a dangerous turn." Nothing like elipses in a character description to really hook us into a mystery! If you don't know what Dark Matter is but are like, "Wait, damn, this looks awesome and why didn't I know about it?" no worries! The show, about amnesiac strangers who find themselves on a mysterious space ship, just premiered on Syfy and is only four episodes on so you can catch up pretty quickly. You'll definitely want to by July 24th when Ruby Rose will be making her glorious appearence, which you can catch a glimpse of right now:
Clearly, Ruby Rose is on a Ruby roll with these guest starring parts, and we've got a wealth of ideas about where she should show up next. To help out further, we've even fully developed characters we believe would fit in perfectly, from Westeros to Sesame Street. Networks, we hope you're listening.
1. An cunning pot dealer on Broad City
When Abby and Ilana's usual dealer goes out of town, the two are pointed to Ruby Rose, an austere, frighteningly gorgeous dealer who becomes Ilana's latest obsession. Ilana keeps coming up with reasons to buy marijuana until things get out of hand, but she manages to get one kiss before Ruby Rose's character goes off to Amsterdam forever, leaving Ilana with a broken heart and lots of weed.
2. Sarah Manning's childhood best friend on Orphan Black
When Sarah and Felix bump into a friend from childhood, they wonder if something sketchy is going on and she's working against them. However, she's so charming that everyone falls in love with her. Of course, she's also evil and ultimately Sarah has to take her down in a fight to the death. BAM.
3. A mysterious member of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's new support group
In season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, we've decided Kimmy will end up attending a weekly support group for kidnapping victims. She makes fast friends with, you guessed it, Ruby Rose, who's almost too sweet and innocent to be true. Eventually, it's discovered that Ruby wasn't a kidnapping victim at all, but an undercover reporter making a secret documentary on the Mole Women. SURPRISE!
4. A rebel leader that befriends Clarke on The 100
Last season, Clarke had a really hard time dealing with the consequences of the escape from Mount Weather and decided to go off on her own for a bit. Naturally, on her self-seeking travels she'll encounter a small band of radioactive rebels who've adapted to the world's chemical conditions that's obviously led by Ruby Rose. Of course she becomes Clarke's new love interest, and when it comes time for the rebels to face off against the Lexa's group o' Grounders, Clarke's definitely going to have a brutal choice to make.
5. Callie's awesome aunt on The Fosters
Maia Mitchell and Ruby Rose could kinda look alike, right? Well, they definitely will when she shows up as Callie's cool, long-lost aunt who takes Callie under her wing. She charms the whole family except Lena, who knows something's amiss. What is it that's wrong, and how is it resolved? Well, you'll just have to tune into this non-existent episode one day and find out.
6. The first high-functioning zombie on The Walking Dead
Ya know, they've been wandering around for a while on The Walking Dead pretty much getting very little done, and it's about time we see some progress. The gang's getting nearer to Washington D.C., so we're confident they're going to encounter a lab that's managed to reverse the zombie-ing of one lucky zombie. Or rather, lucky us, because that zombie will be Ruby Rose. Nailed it.
7. A dragon tamer Danaerys meets on that mountain she got dropped on in Game of Thrones
We're going strictly off the show here, but since the show itself has all but completely ignored the books in the last couple seasons we feel we're in good company. When we last saw Dany, her dragon child Drogon had dropped her on a mountain amidst a ton of Dothraki. We're gonna jump to conclusions and guess that one of those Dothraki warriors is Ruby Rose, and she's also a dragon whisperer who helps Dany and Drogon communicate. Oh, and she and Dany fall in love and take the Iron Throne together. Obviously.
8. A super chill guest star on Sesame Street
We think it would be pretty awesome if Ruby stopped by Sesame Street to teach kids about preferred gender pronouns. Just saying.
9. A burger Louise interacts with during an accidental high on Bob's Burgers
Louise gets into all sorts of crazy shenanigans, so it's not too far fetched to imagine that one day she accidentally gets high on a pot cookie Linda was saving for a special occasion and goes on a wild trip that involves a lot of talking burgers. One burger, Ruby Rose naturally, convinces her stop eating meat and Louise thereafter decides to become vegan and protest the restaurant. This doesn't last, but our love for Ruby Rose playing an animated burger certainly will.
10. Emily's tattoo removal specialist on Pretty Little Liars
One day, long after A's demise, Emily's going to be safe and sound from all that crazy action in Rosewood and want to rid herself of that tattoo she got with her at-the-time friend(?) Sara that reminds her of that terrible period in her life. She'll seek out a specialist, Ruby Rose, to get the tattoo removed and the two will fall in love and start a happy life together. This could really be an entire spin-off in itself, actually. Call it: Ruby Rosewood.
