We finally know which mystery celebrity is set to narrate the audiobook version of Britney Spears’ memoir, and it’s…drumroll please…Michelle Williams!

Peoplereported the exciting update on Friday, clarifying previous reports that Spears would be reading portions of The Woman in Me, while the rest would be narrated by a mystery celeb. In fact, the “Toxic” singer will record an introduction, but leave the bulk of the reading to Williams.

“This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears told People. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook… I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”

This backs up an earlier claim from TMZ that Spears decided reading about her family for the narration was too difficult. An anonymous “insider” subsequently told Page Six that Williams was chosen due to “a mutual attraction from all sides based on Britney’s powerful narrative and what Britney went through and Michelle’s own integrity and history with her own emancipation issues,” referencing the fact that the Dawson’s Creek star was legally emancipated at 15 so she could work longer hours as an actor.

For her part, Williams issued a statement saying simply, “I stand with Britney.”

Both the print edition of The Woman in Me and the audiobook are currently scheduled for release on October 24, and are available for preorder.
