10 Who Should Follow Ricky Martin's Lead...And Come Out Already!

By now you've read all the "La Vida Loca" and "He Bangs ... dudes" headlines commenting on Ricky Martin finally coming out of the closet. With Ricky Martin tunes playing on iTunes, we put our heads together to brainstorm 10 leading ladies who we'd like to see come out. File this under the "It's time"/"Not fooling anybody" category and let us know who else you'd like to see come out as lesbian...like perhaps Kate Moennig, Kristen Stewart, Queen Latifah, Ellen Page and Jillian Michaels to name a few?

By now you've read all the "La Vida Loca" and "He Bangs ... dudes" headlines commenting on Ricky Martin finally coming out of the closet. While we here at SheWired.com applaud the singer's decision to go on the record with what 99.9 percent of the population already knew, we hope Martin's decision will inspire other celebrities to follow suit and live as their true self - open and out. With Ricky Martin tunes playing on iTunes, we put our heads together to brainstorm 10 leading ladies who we'd like to see come out. File this under the "It's time"/"Not fooling anybody" category and let us know who else you'd like to see come out.

Disclaimer: None of the women on this list has ever come out or acknowledged their homosexuality, this is just our opinion of who we'd like to see make the formal announcement.

1. Kate Moennig

It's hard to tell where The L Word's Shane ends and Moennig begins as the actress seems to have a lot in common with her character.

2. Jodie Foster

Foster may have broken up with her longtime girlfriend in September, but she's never made the "Yep, I'm gay" statement publicly.

3. Joan Jett

She's played gay pride festivals in the past and sang "Time Warp" as Columbia in The Rocky Horror Picture Show - not to mention getting it on with Runaways frontwoman Cherie Currie, but hasn't officially come out yet.

4. Michelle Rodriguez

With Avatar, M-Rod continues to play the same type of role - tough, butch women. Come on out, Girlfight-style. The water's just fine.

5. Queen Latifah

Can you accept her dating a man off-screen? Yeah, we can't either.

6. Kristen Stewart

Maybe K-Stew and Robert Pattinson are the Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman for a new generation of mega-stars in need of beards.

7. Ellen Page

She whipped it real good in last year's roller derby film, and paled around with Alia Shawkat and company like it was the easiest thing in the world. Plus that Journey YouTube hit is all kinds of gay awesomeness.

8. Jillian Michaels

Michaels could shed some heavy baggage by coming out more defiantly than a partial admission to being bisexual in Ladies Home Journal.

9. Jorja Fox

She played gay on ER so well and even appeared in Ellen DeGeneres' coming out episode of her hit sitcom in 1997 and makes forensic scientists look all sorts of hot on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. But nothing publicly.

10. Justin Bieber

OK, maybe the tween singing sensation doesn't really qualify for this list, but there certainly are thousands of lesbians who lookJUST. LIKE. HIM. And would anybody really be surprised?
