Fans of The Hunger Games novels have embraced actress Jennifer Lawrence as their heroine, Katniss Everdeen, for the film adaptation in theaters March 2012.
As if the epic battles and life-or-death drama weren’t enough, Lawrence will have to sing on screen, too.
EW.com reports award winning producer T Bone Burnett told MTV News that Lawrence has recorded “Rue’s Lullaby,” a tune that Katniss sings to a fellow Hunger Games contestant after the latter is mortally wounded in battle. “It was beautiful,” he told MTV. “She did great. She’s singing great. Killer actor too.”
We’ll have to wait till closer to the spring release to hear her sing, but the sequel to Hunger Games is already set for November 2013.
