Actress Kate Winslet and her family escaped unharmed early this morning when a fire broke out at Richard Branson's estate on the British Virgin Islands.

Winslet was enjoying a tropical holiday with her “boyfriend, Louis Dowler, and her children Mia, 10, and Joe, 7,” People.com reports, “along with 16 other guests from the eight-bedroom Great House on Necker, Branson's private island in the British Virgin Islands.”

The cause of the flames is still under investigation, but the fire started during a tropical storm around 4AM, likely by lighting.

Bransons’s son Sam helped all guests evacuate safely, but the house was "completely destroyed" by the fire. Outlets are reporting Winslet helped Branson's elderly mother out of the house.
