Tello Films has just released the trailer for I Hate Tommy Finch (IHTF), a new original web series starring Nicole Pacent (Anyone But Me) and Shannan Leigh Reeve (Cowgirl Up, Diary of a Black Widow). The full series will be available in the premium content section of Tello Films in January 2012.
The web series was filmed during performances of the stage play in Chicago, which had an almost completely sold out run in October 2011. The original Chicago play was inspired by Rajiv Joseph’s wildly imaginative Gruesome Playground Injuries, which follows the evolution of the relationship between a girl and boy from elementary school to adulthood and beyond.
IHTF, co-written by Jessica King and Julie Keck, turns the tables with a queer perspective focusing on best girl friends, Stephanie (Pacent) and Alyssa (Reeve), whose mutable friendship becomes so much more over the years.
If melding together theater with technology and two of the most sought-after actors of the web generation weren’t enough, IHTF also boasts original music by Sami Grisafe and Shannon Nicole, further enhancing the show’s emotional resonance.
The song in this trailer is "Atlantis," written and recorded by Sami Grisafe and Shannon Nicole, who also played music during the live IHTF play. "Atlantic" and other songs from the play will be available from Sami and Shannon via their label, Vicious Muse, early next year.
