For the final night of Battle Rounds on the second season of The Voice there were some interesting pairings and song choices by the judges. Among those was bisexual former model Erin Martin and The Shields Brothers singing “Whats Love Got to Do with It.”

The coaches had plenty to say about the performance. Adam Levine, opting to go with The Shields Brothers, thought the performance was “so weird” and said he was slightly “uncomfortable” because Erin’s voice was sometime overshadowed by her style. Blake Shelton said he would choose Erin. Christina Aguilera said that even though the song was not ideal for her, Erin’s voice “had the capability of shining on nonetheless,” but also would have chosen The Shields Brothers.

None of the other coaches’ choices matter, as Cee Lo Green made the final decision. He described the battle as “wonderful, strange, bizarre, peculiar, brilliant” among other things. In the end, Erin was the act he felt he could do the most with and sent her through to the live episodes.
