It’s been less than a month since the Oprah Winfrey Network announced the cancellation of Rosie O’Donnell’s  talk show and O’Donnell has already landed a new gig guest starring on her pal Fran Drescher’s gay-themed Happily Divorced.

O’Donnell will play Fran’s (Drescher) high school friend Katie O’Grady, who “helps Fran learn a lesson about her relationship with her overbearing mother Dori,” according to TV Guide.

The episode featuring O’Donnell will air toward the end of May on TV Land.

The Rosie Show on OWN premiered in October and aired its final show on March 30, failing to gain sustainable viewership. During its short run O'Donnell managed to cover a variety of LGBT topics.
