'Lesbian Cops' Announces Season 2 and Feature Film Kickstarter Campaign

The team behind Lesbian Cops, an action-packed, offensive humor filled comedic spin on 70’s styled cop dramas, has announced plans for a second season and full feature film. Producer Dane Reade and two partners at Pelican Boss Films (notice its an anagram of lesbian cops?), Aaron Burnett and David Aslan, recently partnered with award-winning independent film production company Steakhaus to produce the second season of Lesbian Cops.

In addition, the producers plan to make the web series into Lesbian Cops: The Movie, a feature film, later this year. In preparation, the team has posted the first season on their YouTube channel (here), and released the epic Season One finale:

There is also a Kickstarter campaign, which, if successful, will mean a much bigger and better second season leading into the feature film! They need to reach $30,000 before May 18, 2012 in order to receive the funding.

In the pitch video on Kickstarter, the series creators claim that if their campaign isn't successful "the characters of Lesbian Copswill die." So help save the characters – and not just the current ones – because Guinevere Turner (Go Fish, American Psycho, The L Word) and Whitney Mixter (The Real L Word) have been added to the cast. If the funds aren't raised, there will be no Guinevere, Whitney or any of the current cast.

Check out the pitch video below, and be sure to donate to the Lesbian Cops Kickstarter.
