Billed as an animated lesbian Sci-Fi musical Strange Frame is certainly the first of a kind. Now, the trailer for the wildly inventive project by producer, director and animator G.B. Hajim's and writer Shelley Doty's has dropped.
The film features the voices of sci-fi and cult favorites Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Claudia Black (Stargate SG1), George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes), Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Serenity, Transformers), Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Claudia Christian (Babylon5).
As the plot goes, 500 years after the Great Earth Exodus, Strange Frame‘s heroine, Parker leaves the comforts of her previous life and falls in love with beautiful songwriter Naia, who is genetically engineered and enslaved to be a miner. The lovers form a band but soon Naia is enslaved again, this time by the seductive spotlight of stardom. Facing the obstacles of fame in the future, Parker sets out on a quest to save Naia and redeem their love.
Strange Frame is screening at the upcoming DragonCon and Stan Lee's Comikaze.
