Army Wives Returns with a Lesbian Engagement and Patti LuPone - Watch

Army Wives is back this Sunday and, not only is there a lesbian wedding engagement underway for Charlie (Ryan Michelle Bathe) and Nicole (Kellie Martin) but there’s a Life Goes On reunion with Patti Lupone on board to play Nicole’s (Martin’s) mom like she played Martin’s mom 20 years ago!

Army Wives is back on Lifetime this Sunday July 8. And not only is there a lesbian wedding engagement underway for Charlie (Ryan Michelle Bathe) and Nicole (Kellie Martin) but there’s a Life Goes On reunion with Patti LuPone on board to play Nicole’s (Martin’s) mom like she played Martin’s mom 20 years ago!

The course of true lesbian love on the small screen never does run smooth, so there will be some heartache over Charlie’s and Nicole’s planned nuptials as LuPone, a mega-gay icon, is playing a mom who doesn’t support her daughter being gay. It doesn't help that Army Captain Nicole is pretty closeted but it's all part of the dramatic arc.
