Out Designer Leslie Ezelle Returns to HGTV on 'Design Star All Stars'

HGTV’s hit interior design reality competition series is back, but this time with six familiar faces for the first-ever Design Star All Stars. Out designer (as well as former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, mother and breast cancer survivor) Leslie Ezelle is among the contestants eliminated from the previous seven seasons of Design Star competing for $25,000 and a special appearance on an HGTV show.

HGTV’s hit interior design reality competition series is back, but this time with six familiar faces for the first-ever Design Star All Stars. Out designer (as well as former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, mother and breast cancer survivor) Leslie Ezelle joins a handful of contestants from the first seven seasons of Design Star  who will compete for $25,000 and a special appearance on an HGTV show.

Leslie’s design style preference is “simple, traditional elegance,” with an easy and inexpensive less-is-more philosophy. She has a knack for helping clients “tame their domain,” as she believes the happiest and healthiest living environments are organized homes.

The other returning designers are “Sparkle” Josh Johnson (Season 2), Dan Vickery (Season 4), Tom Vecchione (Season 5), Kellie Clements (Season 6), and Hilari Younger (Season 7).

In the premiere episode, the six designers arrive at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles for the White Box Challenge in “A Second Chance at Stardom.” The contestants had two days to transform an empty, plain white space into a room completely representative of their design perspective before being evaluated by judges Vern Yip, Genevieve Gorder, and special guest, designer and star of CSI: Miami, Emily Procter.

Leslie makes it through to the next round, but Dan is named the winner for the challenge.

In the next episode, the remaining five designers must make over the home of celebrity couple from Dancing with the Stars Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskya. From the episode synopsis:

Jonathan wants a sophisticated man cave, and Anna wants a chic living room/dining room that can double as a rehearsal space. The All Stars divide into teams to create beautiful rooms in just three days, with a total budget of twenty thousand dollars. Both teams struggle over creative and financial decisions, as they attempt to satisfy their clients and impress the Design Panel. Monica Pedersen, host of HGTV Green Home Giveaway 2012, joins the Panel.

Design Star All Stars airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on HGTV. Check out the sneak peek for Episode 2 below:
