Modern Family is getting a lesbian couple! Well, as guest stars that is. Funny ladies Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) and Michaela Watkins (Saturday Night Live, Enlightened) will play a lesbian couple on Modern Family’s third episode of the season, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The episode revolves around their son getting into a fight with Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell’s (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) daughter Lily.

Regarding the role on Modern Family McLendon-Covey told EW that she’s excited to play a loving mother for a change.

“I usually play someone who hates her kids — this time I love my child,” she said.

Watkins is slated for the upcoming feature film Thanks for Sharing, about a 12-step sex addiction group that stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Joely Richardson, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins and P!nk.

The Modern Family episode that features McLendon-Covey and Watkins will appear on Sept. 26.
