Out alt rocker Michelle Chamuel brought down the house with a killer rendition of P!nks “Raise Your Glass”  during her Knockout Round on The Voice Tuesday.

During rehearsals for Michelle’s energetic performance, she practiced breath control by dropping and giving 20 push-ups with Coach Usher before hopping back on the mic to sing. The strategy worked as Michelle was able to work the stage while maintaining impeccable breath control. Incidentally, she also blew Usher away with her ability match him on boy push-ups!

Usher pitted her against model Audrey Karrasch, who valiantly sang Lil Wayne’s “How to Love,” but stumbled through a chunk of it. Although, even if Audrey had nailed her performance, self-confessed nerd Michelle was a freaking standout!

The lead singer of Ann Arbor base band Ella Riot, Michelle said prior to the performance that she picked “Raise Your Glass” because it’s speaks to the outsider (or as P!nk puts it “dirty little freaks). Following her win she remarked that she felt like she could really be herself out on The Voice stage.

"I felt like I was able to me on that stage, and it felt really good," Michelle said.

Earlier this week Team Shakira's Karina Iglesias moved through to the live rounds with a performance of Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way," so that makes two gay ladies who'll be performing live next week!
