Angelina Jolie 'Salt'-y or Sweet?

Am I the only one who is growing tired of lesbian fave Angelina Jolie? Have we gotten to that point where she's over-exposed and we are exhausted from hearing about her umpteen kids and perfect - or imperfect, depending on which tabloid you read - life with Brad Pitt? Prepare for a new onslaught of Angie news. Prepare for a new onslaught of Angie news, this time for something that's at least news - well, in Hollywood anyway. This week the movie poster and trailer were released for her upcoming action film Salt, set to hit theaters next summer.

In the film, Jolie plays CIA agent Evelyn Salt whose loyalty is tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Check out the newly released Salt movie poster and tell me that the piercing eyes don't scream Tomb Raider.

Aside from being cut off at the boobs - remember, now she's a serious actress - the Salt poster puts Jolie back into the genre in which she belongs: action movies with hot babes and little plot, i.e. Wanted, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Gone in Sixty Seconds and the pair of Tomb Raider pics.

Not convinced yet? Check out the trailer.

Welcome back, Angie. We love that you make serious films that play big come awards season (Changeling, A Mighty Heart) but we're glad to have you back. We missed you.

Salt, which co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (Love Actually, 2012) and Live Schreiber (Taking Woodstock, Wolverine), opens July 23.
