TV host Ruby Rose and supermodel Catherine McNeil were reportedly engaged Monday, but now they claim a popular magazine made the whole thing up.
According to the Herald Sun, Rose, a host on MTV in Australia, allegedly confirmed the engagement to Woman's Day magazine. The duo was spotted at an event in Los Angeles last week, both women sporting beautiful engagement rings. McNeil wore a sapphire-and-diamond encrusted ring and Rose donned an emerald-cut diamond with two side baguettes.
"I am blessed, I am lucky ... I am really lucky, my missus is amazing," Rose reportedly told the magazine and introduced McNeil as her "fiancée."
"We never talk about our relationship, because it is so sacred."
"But one thing everybody knows is I am lucky and I am happy and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't do what I do now," said Rose.
On Tuesday, Rose set the record straight, saying that she has never spoken to the magazine and that the Women's Day article, published this week, was made up.
Without mincing her words, Rose shot back at the article via Twitter:
"I have never in my life spoken to Woman's Day, I have never even met anyone from that magazine," Rose wrote. " ... and I did NOT confirm anything."
So, are they engaged or what?
