Did Ilene Chaiken Scrap Lesbian Medical Drama for New Project 'Hail Mary?'

The L Word creator Ilene Chaiken has landed a new gig while the reality spin-off of the landmark drama, The Real L Word, gears up for a second season. Chaiken landed a new job as executive producer and showrunner of the CBS private eye show Hail Mary. There is no update on Rhodes to Recovery, Chaiken’s medical drama featuring a lesbian lead character that she was purportedly developing for CBS.

Chaiken landed a new job as executive producer and showrunner of the CBS private eye show Hail Mary, according to Deadline.

Hail Mary, still in development, focuses on a suburban single mom and a ‘streetwise’ hustler who join together to solve crimes, according to Deadline. Chaiken has teamed with the show’s creator Jeff Wadlow and Joel Silver to produce for Warner Bros.

There is no update on Rhodes to Recovery, Chaiken’s medical drama featuring a lesbian lead character that she was purportedly developing for CBS.
