Jodi Picoult’s new novel about a lesbian couple struggling to start a family is going be made into a movie, thanks to Ellen DeGeneres.

The talk show host has obtained the rights to “Sing You Home,” Picoult shared in a live chat on Advocate.com Tuesday. She will be producing the film with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

“I don't know anything else yet — except that she teamed with some other well known producers (they are currently doing How To Succeed on Broadway with Daniel Radcliffe),” she wrote. “And that she's excited. I am flying to CA tomorrow to do an interview with her which will be on her website!”

The author was responding to a question about her book “My Sister’s Keeper,” which was made into a movie two years ago starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin. Picoult said she wasn’t happy with Hollywood’s handling of that adaptation.

“ I was NOT okay with the changes that were made to MSK - but that was because the director (Nick Cassavettes) lied to my face, unfortunately, after promising he'd keep the ending,” she wrote.

“Sing You Home” debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list earlier this month.
