Two new mean girls will be joining the cast of Glee when season three kicks off in September, DigitalSpy reports.
The hit series will introduce “mean girls” Sugar and Sheila to the student body of McKinley High.
Sheila will be an “affluent, self-confident, god-awful singer” while Sugar is described as a “modern-day” Joan Jett” with an affinity for tattoos and a bad-girl attitude.
Could one of the new ladies be a possible love interest for Santana? Fingers crossed because it doesn’t look like the Brittany / Santana storyline is going to pan out any time soon.
Also joining the third season cast will be a new love interest for Mercedes. Show execs are currently looking to fill the role of Bubba, a linebacker who will have started dating the sassy Glee gal over the summer break.
It appears that Sue Sylvester will be getting some competition in the arts-hating teacher department as well. Rumor has it that a new geometry teacher in her sixties named Nancy Bletheim is also currently being cast and will no doubt give the glee club plenty of grief in the upcoming season.
With all the recent reports of cast members departing the show, the addition of new characters is welcome news.
