Helen Mirren, As Playful As Ever

Dame Helen Mirren, one of Hollywood’s hottest and most talented actresses is making headlines again, this time for posing topless in an upcoming issue of New York Magazine. 

The photo was taken while she was being interviewed about Love Ranch, her next movie, based on Nevada’s famous Mustang Ranch.  In the film, Mirren portrays Grace Botempo, the madam of the Reno brothel in the 70s.  The film was directed by her Oscar winning husband (lucky man), Taylor Hackford and is set to open on June 30.

Mirren once said that she “fancies getting a bit notorious” and I think it was a self fulfilling prophecy.  The actress turns 65 next month and she shows no signs of slowing down. 

Mirren won her Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in the 2006 film, The Queen but has also won praise and notoriety for her unabashed, and somewhat flirtatious affair with the paparazzi. 

From being snapped while sporting a bikini on a beach or in a bathtub with nothing on or around her but a cup of coffee, it is fair to say that Mirren is the most desired 64-year-old on the planet.  Mirren is a woman who proudly discusses her tattoos and her ability to seduce millions with her wit, beauty and class…doesn’t matter the age. 

As for the next generation of powerful, confident and beautiful women, Mirren said, “I’m thrilled young girls are claiming their sexuality for themselves.  I love bold women: Madonna and Scarlett Johansson, sexy and gorgeous, but not only that, my girls, my team.”
