Laura Steel's Anthemic New Single "Feedback" Rides High on UK Charts

Bursting onto the scene Laura Steel unleashes her vibrant single "Feedback." Released on August 8th, the track is an infectious electro-pop stomper written and composed by Laura herself.  “Feedback” is currently setting the dance floors on fire across the UK and is riding high at number 5 in the official commercial UK club chart. 

Already a huge success independently and voted ‘One to Watch’ by internet giants Tiscali, Laura is a fiercely dedicated performer and songwriter who has shared stages with the likes of Pixie Lott and Diana Vickers, and performed to over 250,000 people in the UK and US in 2009. This year looks set to take Laura to the next level, having been added to the sold-out Wireless Festival bill at London’s Hyde Park on July 4th (Jay-Z, Lily Allen, Chipmunk). 

A skilled songwriter and lyricist, Laura writes the majority of her own material, and is fully involved in the creative process from designing her own artwork through to crafting her own unique personal style.

Born just outside Sheffield, Laura blends sharp-edged style with sassy Northern charm; up-front and honest, her no-nonsense approach to life comes across powerfully in her vivacious debut release. A chameleon fashionista, Laura crafts her image drawing from her massively creative background, having experimented with dozens of different looks and genres to distill her unique sound and identity.

Having recently walked the catwalk for renowned celebrity stylist Jonny Blue Eyes (Beth Ditto, Klaxons, Noisettes) Laura's style is as attention-grabbing as her sound is electrifying. In 2009 Laura was endorsed by celebrity fashion powerhouse Lipsy, the first unsigned artist to receive this level of support from the brand, and has also received unrivalled support from pro-audio brand Sennheiser, who endorse a limited number of hugely successful acts, including Pink, Natalie Imbruglia and Franz Ferdinand.
